Downspout & Yard Drainage

A single downspout dumping at the corner of a house can put hundreds of gallons of water next to the foundation during a big storm. That water goes down along the wall and into the crawl space, so moving it far away is one of the most effective fixes there is.

We handle downspout and yard drainage across Nashville and Middle Tennessee, with buried lines, pop-up emitters, extensions, grading and catch basins that carry water to a better place.

What you get

Done right, from the first walk-through

01

Buried downspout lines

Solid pipe takes water well away from the house and releases it safely.

02

Extensions and pop-up emitters

Simple options where a buried line is not needed.

03

Regrading near the foundation

Soil is built up and sloped so water runs away from the wall.

04

Catch basins and swales

Low spots in the yard get a place for water to enter the system.

The process

How your service comes together

  1. 1

    Follow the water

We watch where water goes from the roof and across the yard and find what feeds your crawl space.

  2. 2

    Install and regrade

Lines, basins and grading are put in to carry water to an outlet.

  3. 3

    Test and review

We run water through the system and show you how it moves.

FAQ

Common questions about downspouts & yard drainage

How far should downspouts discharge?

Farther is better. Many guidelines suggest several feet from the foundation at a minimum, and we plan for as much distance as your lot allows.

Do I need new gutters too?

Not always. We check that existing gutters are sized, pitched and clear before adding drains, and recommend repairs if they are not.

Can buried lines clog?

They can if debris enters, so we use screens and cleanouts where it makes sense and show you how to keep the line clear.
